Our Client is looking for: Exhibitions Registrar Fixed TermLocation: EdinburghSalary : £25,350 - £27,687The functions of the Collections Management Department are to assist the Senior Management Team in the management of and accountability for their collections; the management of all loans both to and from the Galleries; delivery of their programme of exhibitionsand displays; the maintenance and development of the automated collections management system and advising the Director General and Trustees on matters of policy and practice in the management of the collections.As a member of a dedicated team of exhibitions registrars, the main purpose of this post is to facilitate their programme of exhibitions and displays. These responsibilities call for relevant experience, including a firm grasp of the principles of exhibitionsmanagement, together with strong communication skills and a broad knowledge of the technical, financial, legal and international issues involved in the safe handling, transport and display of works of art. The postholder must have a flexible approach to thepost and may sometimes be assigned to duties outwith normal working hours.
