Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an Estates Project Manager for an initial 5 month contract - with the potential to extend - on a rate of £450-500/day (inside of IR35). Due to the currentcircumstances this role will be initially remote based.Responsibilities:- Reporting to the Head of Estates Portfolio and working closely with key leads within the Estates and Facilities team, the role will focus on the management of several key projects as well as ensuring a unified approach to all Projects delivered by the businessarea.- In line with guidance provide support and overview relevant to all projects being undertaken within the Estates Business area using relevant project reporting tools and processes.- Within the estates business area, work towards establishing a strong culture of project planning, reporting and management, including collaboration across the organisation and other stakeholders.- Regularly monitor and report on the budgeting of allocated projects across each phase ensuring they remain in line with initial project cost. - Report regularly to Estates Programme and Delivery Director/Head of Estates Portfolio and monthly to Finance on progress covering the following key areas.- Prepare regular programme schedules outlining key deliverables as well as key dates impacting staff and stakeholders. - Guide project leads on Project Stakeholder management and mapping, including liaison and incorporating user requirements from other business areas where required. - Advise on project communications and undertake regular engagement with the Communications department for project reporting to staff and stakeholders.- Develop risk registers for all relevant projects, report and escalate as required to the Risk Manager.- Monitor project specifications and quality of finish are of in line with required and agreed standards. Ensure delivery of handover manuals and appropriate training on completion.- Review Health and safety across each project and escalate known risks to H&S Advisor where appropriate. - Ensure document controls are followed and information recorded and saved into the electronic record management systems.- Establish efficient information processes using existing tools to collate, share and store information on projects.- Working with Head of Estates Portfolio, initiate various project and Project Board meetings and prepare, produce and manage including distribution all associated meeting papers including minutes, action logs, reports and registers and other relevant documents.Essential Skills:- A professional Project Management qualification (e.g. APM PMQ Agile Project Management or PRINCE2) is preferred, plus substantial project management experience ideally working on a broad range of property related projects within a Property, Facilities Managementor similar complex function within a large, matrix organisation. - Experience of working with others and establishing a robust approach to project management practices, methodologies, including; planning, scheduling, risk and issue management, governance, frameworks, stakeholder management, change control and assurance. - Experience of identifying and managing cross project interdependencies, including helping to manage key stakeholders towards the delivery of an agreed scope balancing commercial performance and business strategy.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
