Job Description

Embedded Software Engineer {Renewables, Medical, Scientific}Livingston£55,000 - £65,000 + Company Benefits + Long term SecurityAre you an Embedded Software Engineer looking to work for a company that has delivered innovative product design services across a range of industries for the past 20 yearsDo you want the opportunity to work in diverse industrial and commercial sectors, covering oil and gas, renewables, medical, scientific, and many other areas. One particular area of expertise is in design for hazardous areas (i.e. ATEX, IECEx)On offer is a great opportunity for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a 15 strong and growing team, who have expertise in electronic hardware design and software/firmware design, all supported by a team of project managers. To date, they have workedon 400 projects and engaged with 120 different customers, both locally and globally.In this role, the successful embedded Software Engineer will work on a variety of different projects using Embedded Linux and C/C++ with high profile clients to develop innovative products for our customers, in markets ranging from Energy (Renewable, SmartMetering, Oil & Gas) to Industrial, Life Sciences and Medical.This role would suit an Embedded Software Engineer with a background in Embedded Linux and C/C++The Role:

  • Create customer-readable documentation, test results and reports
  • Regularly investigate, develop and integrate new techniques, processes & tools
  • Projects involve embedded software, some involve Linux, and we are seeing increasing demand for C++.
The Person:
  • Experience of developing embedded / real-time systems
  • Strong Modern C++ and C skills, gained in a commercial environment
  • Strong Linux system development
