Job Description

If youre a an engaged, detail-orientated and passionate Email Marketing Developer who is looking to work with household name clients, then we want to hear from you!Denholm is delighted to be working with one of the UKs leading agencies who bring ideas and technology together to power brands and businesses. Think Agency Creative, Strategy, Media, PR and Data/CRM, all working side by side, solving problems as one collaborativeteam with the client.This role will join their embedded agency model, working with a major High Street bank. Their innovative model provides clients with a dedicated on-site creative and production team, delivering high quality, large volume, fast turnaround creative solutionsacross all channels. Right now, theyre seeking a dedicated Email Marketing Developer to answer the call of an in-demand service and deliver for a big client over the long-term.What youll be doingAs their new Email Marketing Developer youll come with strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS, as well as experience with email marketing platforms such as Stensul, Email for Taxi, Pure360, Adobe Campaign or Salesforce. Youll also be passionate about emailand comfortable communicating with colleagues and stakeholders alike, as well as being both hands-on and strat5egic.You will keep an eye on trends within the channel and support the team on how to develop and deliver innovative campaigns through the use of new technology or integration of HTML5 elements within the clients email templates.Main responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining responsive and accessible email components which follow email best practice.
  • Test emails and troubleshoot rendering issues across various browsers, email clients and devices.
  • Perform QA across Email CRM Team.
  • Liaising closely with clients deployment team.
  • Working alongside with the email CMS support team to ensure platform issues are raised and resolved.
  • Demonstrating a good understanding of back-end technologies.
  • Driving design and build best practice by consulting with teams in the agency, providing strategic input on comms content and journeys.
  • Championing accessibility, technical updates and working with Design Leads to develop new innovative email modules that work within the clients master templates.
  • Co-ordination with your clients Email CoE through scheduling management, reporting requests and campaign simplification assistance.
  • Supporting Email Programme Lead.
Who were looking for
  • Collaborative team player, open-minded and transparent.
  • Experienced in email marketing & has a good understanding of email build tools and data segmentation.
  • Very good understanding of UX and UI Principles.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and ability to create HTML emails from scratch.
  • Deep understanding of email design and user experience best-practice.
  • Understanding the limitations and capabilities of coding for email.
  • Deep understanding of email best practice from both a coding and design perspective.
  • Advanced, hands-on user experience of a range of email channel tools including: Litmus, Email on Acid and ReturnPath.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, XD and Dreamweaver) and Figma.
  • Previous experience of email CMS builders is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Adobe Campaign Classic and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Proficiency with understanding data (Desirable).
