Electrical Installations Safety AuthorElectrical Non-Profit OrganisationHome Based Role (UK Wide)£45,000 - £55,000 Basic Salary + Benefits

The Company recruiting for the Electrical Installations Safety Engineer:The company are a passionate advocate on electrical safety, working alongside consumers as well as electrical contractors, and providing guidance for Government. Having been established for well over 50 years, aim to reduce electrical injuries and deathsby increasing awareness, providing advice and support to people who need it. They also provide a range of tools for consumers and the public to improve safety at home.The Role of the Electrical Installations Safety Engineer:Working as an Electrical Technical Author, you will have numerous responsibilities. First and foremost, youll be required to stay up to date with the current electrical standards and regulations, specifically BS 7671 and related codes of practice. You willalso be working closely with organisations such as NAPIT and NICEIC to educate and provide guidance, alongside electrical manufacturers. Points of contact will include everyone from top level technical management, through to installers and designers. You willprovide support and counselling to the education sector including universities and colleges involved with electrical training. Every day will be a new and different challenge, based from home.The Candidate for the Electrical Installations Safety Engineer:Youll be a strong written and verbal communicator and have an up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671. An inquisitive mindset and experience from either a hands-on electrical background or having worked in electrical educational institute.
  • Youll be registered with the Engineering Council or IET as an Eng-Tech, IEng, CEng, or similar.
  • Up to date with BS 7671 18th edition (preferably 2nd amendment)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to portray complex information to a range of people of different electrical abilities
  • Looking for a hands-off role in the electrical installations world.
The Package for the Electrical Installations Safety Engineer:
  • £45,000 - £55,000 basic salary, depending on experience
  • Healthcare, pension
  • 25 days holiday plus statutory Bank/Public holidays
