Electrical Field Engineer (High Voltage / Battery Storage Plant)£50,000 - £55,000 + Door to Door Pay + Vehicle + Overtime + Local Region + Tech Package + Team Events + Vast Progression + Global CompanyEdinburgh + ScotlandAre you an Electrical Engineer with a high voltage or battery storage background looking to establish your career in the energy sector, expand your skillset as the go-to expert and work within a supportive and collaborative team, with opportunities to progressinto managementOn offer is the rare and exciting opportunity to join the UKs leading developer of grid scale energy storage in a company that will provide hands on support and funded training to allow you to fast track your engineering career in an industry which is rapidlyevolving.In this varied role, you will be covering your local patch undertaking a range of duties including the maintenance and commissioning of grid scale battery energy storage systems and providing phone support and remote diagnostics to customers. You will be partof the in-house team working on exciting new projects including product research and development.This fantastic opportunity would suit an experienced Electrical or Commissioning Engineer looking to join an innovative and hard-working global team. Included in the role is product training, a company vehicle, door to door pay, full equipment package, techpackage, overtime opportunities and a generous company pension.The Role

  • Ensure high-quality maintenance of battery energy storage systems through planned maintenance, capacity tests, and reactive maintenance
  • Provide customer support through phone assistance and remote diagnostics
  • Manage administrative tasks like timesheets, vehicle checks, and job logs
  • Troubleshoot equipment at customer sites
  • Conduct site acceptance testing and commissioning services (SAT) at customer locations
  • Assist in-house system engineering group with product development and project work
The Person
  • Electrical Qualifications Level 3+
  • CSCS card
  • Happy to work a regional patch / 1 - 2 overnight stays per month
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Working knowledge of power electronics / inverters / converters / generators / PLCs / BESS
