Job Description

RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a specialist provider ofsecurity and access for rooms and buildings. The business provides innovative, reliable access and security solutions in hotels, shops, sporting venues, airports, hospitals, in the homeor at the office. Due to continual growth, our client is hiring experienced Door Service Technicians.The business has two central offices located in Tiverton, Devon, where they assemble mechanical cylinder ranges, and Hitchin, Hertfordshire. They aim to developsolutions that simplify life and enhance security for their customers and end-users.The business has a rare opportunity for an experienced individual to join their existing team as a Service Technician.   • Excellent knowledge of door systems, or a specialist within a specific product family (E.g. Industrial/Automatic/Manual/Security).
  • Industry-standard qualifications and accreditations (E.g. BSEN16005, CSCS Card, IPAF, DHF IDSD etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work alongside a Service Coordinator to manage your workload.
  • Have a can-do attitude and a flexible approach to work.
  • Proficient user of IT devices and systems, specifically ServiceMax and Customer apps/portals
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, service and repair door and security systems, in accordance with relevant industry standards, current health and safety guidelines and follow safe working practices.
  • Work on a wide range of manufacturers products and equipment, both electronically and mechanically. Complete fault finding, diagnosis and accurate recommendation for corrective actions.
  • Using Company/Customer APPs, Portals, IT systems and IT devices to complete work order management processes.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external customers to deliver exceptional service to meet or exceed Company and Customer SLA/KPIs.
  • Work a reasonable amount of overtime to effectively conduct your duties, meet Customer demand and business needs. This will include being part of a rolling out of hours call out rota.
