Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Digital Content Manager for an initial 23 month contract on a rate of £178.83/day (Outside IR35). This role will be primarily office-based, with a flexibleoption to have working from home days - up to a maximum of two per week.Responsibilities:- Engage with the Chief Executive and senior management team of the organisation, as well as the media and PR team, to manage, maintain, create, develop and optimise the website structure and quality content for diverse audiences- Manage the staff intranet, ensuring a user-friendly, up-to-date, organisation-wide information platform- Effectively research, maintain and enhance web strategies- Liaise with the management team, and work with the Publications Manager, on an ongoing basis, to ensure the website and intranet are fully up-to-date and that all content is consistent, accessible and reflects the organisation’s priorities- Act as point of contact with internal and external stakeholders, on the performance and content of the organisation’s website and intranet- Develop clear processes and procedures to guide and support users of the organisation’s website and intranet- Lead on promoting the use of digital channels to staff members, including the organisation’s website and intranet- Write and publish appropriate content on the website and intranet, ensuring suitable training for others in the organisation is available where required- Be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the organisation‘s website and intranet conforms with policies on IT.Essential Skills:- A formal digital content qualification and/or significant experience in digital communications within a sensitive and confidential environment- High levels of oral and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present and engage in a range of internal and external settings- Excellent working knowledge of all forms of digital communications and content management systems, which includes writing and designing high quality content- Experience of working in a high performing, fast-paced, dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment- Proven ability to work under pressure, plan, prioritise, manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders- A high degree of personal resilience and the ability to deal with what can be a distressing subject matter- IT Literate, with strong knowledge in MS 365, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook- Meticulous attention to detail- Strong Drupal experienceIf you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.Required skills
