Job Description

Deputy Theatre Manager | Band 6/7 dependent on experience plus joining bonus | Edinburgh | Full Time, No Nights. Spire Edinburgh has expanded its services and as a result, we have a brand new opportunity for a Deputy Theatre Manager. This is an excellentopportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to join our team and play a critical part in our period of growth! Murrayfield hospital was established as a purpose built hospital in 1984, conveniently located in the west of Edinburgh. In 2015 our consultingrooms had a £1 million refurbishment. In 2010 we opened Shawfair Park Hospital, a day case facility, based in south east Edinburgh. Each of our hospitals practice some of the most advanced treatments supported by the latest generation imaging and diagnostictechnology. This means we offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading edge surgical procedures and cancer care. Duties and responsibilities: Provide exemplary planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention. Lead theteam and promote best evidence-based practice in the development of knowledge, ideas, and work practice to improve quality and maintain our high standards of theatre practice. Ensure that Clinical Governance and Risk management are embedded within daily practice.Deputise for the Theatre Manager and co-ordinate the theatre department as required. Have excellent organisational and management skills with the ability to flexibly respond to the needs of the department and the hospital.
