Job Description

Do you have experience in the administration of Defined Benefit pension schemes and are looking to work for an organisation that has consistently evolved and grown in the last couple of years.If so, we are working on behalf of a highly respected industry leader, who as a result of further business growth is now seeking a number of additional Pensions Administrators within the Edinburgh office. As a modern employer, they are dedicated to providing ongoing training and development, in order to offer ongoing, long term career opportunities that also include full support in gaining professional qualifications.At present, all roles are based working from home and the client has an excellent system in place to onboard new members of staff remotely. As we move forward there is a possibility that the positions can then be offered with part time or possibly full time remote working.You will join an established team where you will be responsible providing an effective and efficient 360 degree Defined Benefit pension’s administration service to a portfolio of clients.Due to the nature of these role, it is essential that you possess prove experience in

  • Performing various administration tasks e.g. handling of new entrants, leavers, retirements, transfers and deaths,
  • Participating in annual projects
  • Ensuring documentation is scheme specific
  • Updating relevant pension administration databases and systems.
  • Responding to member queries in writing and on the telephone.
  • Performing manual benefits calculations
  • Checking the work of more junior staff and provide them with informal training.
  • Working within an environment where you are assisted in further developing your knowledge and experience, you will already possess some Defined Benefit pension’s administration with a willingness to learn and further develop you experience over the long term.In return you can expect an excellent remuneration and benefits package coupled with ongoing training, development and progression including full study support.
