Job Description

Enigma People Solutions is excited to have been engaged by a world leading international Semiconductor Design client to search for people to join their Data Engineering team. You will work within a talented and passionate cross-disciplinary tea, dedicated to researching, designing and delivering voice interface and speaker identification solutions that can change how people use technology.Specializing in low power ICs for audio and voice signal processing applications, our client’s products span the entire audio signal chain, from capture to playback, providing innovative products for the world’s top smartphones, tablets, digital headsets, wearables and emerging smart home applications.This is a great opportunity to work with gifted engineers operating at the forefront of bleeding-edge technology! Responsibilities

  • Drive creation of data-driven insights on voice biometrics performance using large scale real and acoustic-simulated data
  • Report and communicate insights to Research and Product teams as well as senior management and stakeholders
  • Design and execution of experiments
    • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (maths, statistics, computer science or some related fields) and/or Bachelors/Masters and/or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven experience translating data-driven insights into decisions and actions by using large-scale data in tech, banking, consulting or similar fields
  • Proficient in maths & statistics: machine learning, statistical modelling, bayesian inference, supervised learning (decision trees, logistic regression etc), unsupervised learning (clustering, dimensionality reduction, etc)
  • Scripting languages (e.g.Python), stastistical computing packages (R, Python, MATLAB) and SQL databases
  • Ability to engage and communicate with senior management
  • Core skills in visualisation. Knowledge of any visualisation tool (R packages like ggplot or lattice, Flare, D3.js etc)
  • Outgoing, highly organized, persistent and tenacious, with the ability to influence without authority
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player
  • Fluent in English
  • Willing to travel internationally
    • Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Domain expertise in speech recognition or biometrics
  • Expertise in voice biometrics and audio processing is a plus
  • Big-data related experience and knowledge to deal with high velocity, high volume and high variety data in the field (NoSQL databases, Hadoop, etc)
