Job Description

Data Science Engineering Manager - GCPUp to £74,000 EdinburghHours: Full-time, Hybrid working (40% in-office)My financial services client is looking to add a Data Science engineering manager with experience of designing and implementing on google cloud platform (GCP) to their dynamic team focused on data science, engineering, and innovation within the audit sector.We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with strong customer focus and a willingness to understand internal auditing.You will be tasked with

  • Lead multiple data science and application development projects.
  • Leading migration projects from on prem to cloud native in GCP
  • Upskilling colleagues in GCP
  • Work across the data science life cycle, applying analytics and machine learning techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data science in business monitoring, audit planning, and delivery.
  • Developing tools and web applications.
  • Communicate technical concepts in simple language.
  • Acquire auditing and business knowledge to enhance departmental capabilities.
  • Support end users and provide training.
Key Skills
  • Experience leading data science and application development projects.
  • Strong Technical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, including design and implementing Macros/Web applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages Python/R and data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated competence in leading technical projects and communicating with key stakeholders with the business.
