Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation based in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Data Migration Analyst for an initial 4 week contract (with the intention of extension until April 2021) on a rate of c.£500-550/day inside of IR35. Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based. Candidates must be immediately available. Responsibilities:• Coordinating and setting direction for the overall data analysis effort in conjunction with the Business Leads and Business Analyst members of the Programme team • Ensuring the team are adopting consistent and best practices in data migration activities• Providing support to the programme and project managers in prioritisation and coordination of the data migration design, configuration, testing and implementation of the solution• Working with system managers, business leads and subject matter experts to develop the data migration specifications• Extracting data from source systems and other data stores• Defining and applying business and data rules to extracted datasets• Checking for gaps in datasets and working with the various business leads to create and execute data collection activities• Mapping source data to new target datasets at entity and field level and documenting mappings and transformations• Producing reports / dashboards to monitor data migration quality, progress and support business reconciliation• Construction of combined datasets in preparation for data loading• Transformation of data types to support data load files• Using Oracle Fusion SaaS load tools to load data• Creation of migration documentation to support the data migration framework• Provides support for Data & Analytics Developers as and when required with operational activity• Design and test planning for Data Migration from Legacy systems to the new platform • Escalation of design challenges to the Design Authority, including options appraisal and recommendations• Participating in roll out activities including communications, cultural change and adoption• Carry out project work as required• Participating in knowledge transfer and training activities • Complies with University policies and GDPR requirements at all timesEssential Skills:• Previous experience of data migration and/or data analysis on a Fusion ERP Finance system implementation. Ideally with the target as Oracle SaaS Cloud ERP, HCM Payroll.• The ability to work at a low level of detail while being able to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders • Experience of working in in an agile project environment with several projects and changing demands• Recent cloud data migration analysis experience• Demonstrable experience of engagement in, and completion of, at least one major data migration project• Experience of Finance transactional business processes and management accountingDesirable Skills:• Experience of Human Resources business processes • Higher education experience. • Experience of Oracle Human Capital Management, Enterprise Resource Planning (Financials/Procurement), Fusion, Planning and Budgeting Cloud• Experience of any of the following Source Systems: Oracle eBusiness Suite (HR/Payroll), eFinancials v5.0, Sage Financials, Sun Systems, SciQuest • Experience of the following technologies: Talend, BusinessObjects BI Suite, SQLIf you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
