Job Description

Data Integration Consultant - EdinburghWould you enjoy a technically varied role working as data consultant with customers based in banks across the globe Would you like opportunity to gain technical skills complex database tools which would build foundation for fantastic career Then this isamazing opportunity in a fast growing fintech consultancy team that you may well want to discuss in more detail.About the roleAs a Consultant you work in client facing team and provide insight to support how they make decisions about their business. This will involve such duties as;

  • Confirm accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, documentation, and problem resolution
  • Create and maintain scripts and processes required to extract, transform, review and move data and metadata to the appropriate data stores
  • Document and review current processes concisely and suggest areas of improvement
  • Assess business problems using various extract-transfer-load toolsets.
  • Work collaboratively with data integration teams to enhance existing data integration solutions and develop new solutions aligned to client business and IT strategy
RequiredSkills
  • Good degree qualification in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Maths or other IT related degree)
  • High attention to detail with a strong background in coding
  • Proficiency with data integration and configuration
  • Ability to interrogate and understand complex business data requirements to build data feeds to support analytical models.
  • Ability to apply understanding of financial principles within data integration, analysis and solution development
  • Ability to learn new technologies, software, and methodologies.
  • Database development experience with RDBMS systems such as Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL (especially complex querying)
  • Experience programming in one of Python, Ruby and/or JavaScript
  • Experience of working with data hierarchies, for example, being able to query and map data both up and down hierarchical data
  • Experience of OLAP technologies (e.g. Oracle, Anaplan)
  • Previous work experience across Financial Services and / or data analytics.
