Job Description

Customer Journey UI & UXEdinburghFPSG are currently recruiting for an exciting Global FinTech organisation who are expanding their centre of excellence in Edinburgh. The next addition to growth is the innovation team with "journeys" UI and UX all being added, if youre an idea machine who is passionate about design with the courage to pitch your ideas then youre perfect for the job! Were looking for someone who works hard and has confidence in their abilities.You should have a keen eye for detail, be organised and be able to use constructive comments to your advantage. As long as youre enthusiastic and passionate about design trends, with the ability to research, test and implement your design prototypes then there wont be a dull day.Customer Journey, User Experience and User Interface can and often do over-lap. Some welcome the flexibility, for others a clear designation is preferred….with the growth of the innovation team planned, there will be room for all different "shapes" of professionals.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing clear and concise user journeys for all aspects of the application.
  • Providing design assets and assistance to the development team.
  • Working with management on sometimes complex user journeys, weighing up various approaches and options.
  • Research and development of prototype designs.
  • Optimizing existing user interface designs, reducing steps and simplifying the journey.
  • Conducting ongoing user research with our clients.

  • Related work experience with a great portfolio of work.
  • Familiar with a wide variety of design tools - Sketch, InVision, Balsamiq, Illustrator, Photoshop.
  • You understand the limitations of CSS and HTML, building visual prototypes that work in a web context.

  • Clear communication both to colleagues and clients
  • Get stuck in to solve problems, break log jams and move the project forwards.
