Job Description

Are you a skilled Excel user looking for a role in administrationOffice Angels Edinburgh have a great opportunity for a customer Administration Assistant to join their lovely small team based in Edinburgh City Centre. The hours of work are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm and the salary is £23-24k dependant on experience.Microsoft Excel skills are paramount to securing this role.Purpose of the roleTo provide first line customer service by responding to email queries from retailers and publishers to ensure a satisfactory outcome. Following investigation, to call stores back with updates regarding missing or late deliveries. To support the directorwith all aspects of administrative assistance. The role requires good communication skills, proficient in using Microsoft office - especially Excel (knowledge of pivot tables is preferred) strong organisation skills, a good eye for detail with a commercial awareness and a can-do attitude. Full training will be provided on the internalprocesses and systems.Key Responsibilities* Providing first line customer support. Store query handling such as parcel tracking and investigating late newspaper deliveries, acknowledging emails, making outbound calls to stores to keep them updated.* To liaise with the warehouse team and answer any queries they have regarding processes.* To answer queries from publishers which usually are regarding sales and items not scanning and requires investigation. Also to provide them with performance figures of their products and a regular basis.* To provide management information to the director so commercial decisions can be made. For example, summarising sales data to show performance of newspapers and magazines as an when required.* To regularly analyse sales vs supply at a store level to determine if a store requires more or less stock and adjust orders where needed to maintain profitability.* Work with and support the administration assistant to ensure all deadlines are met and to provide holiday cover for administration assistant and director when needed.* Have a good overall understanding of the business and its processesWhilst wed love to get back to every applicant personally, it isnt always possible and sadly we cannot provide individual feedback.
