Job Description

This role is for a dedicated Cost Advisor who will be tasked with overseeing the cost management and financial visibility within the Accounting & Finance department of a Law firm. This role can be based from Edinburgh or Glasgow.Client DetailsOur client is a well-established organisation in the professional services industry, operating on a global scale with a significant presence in Manchester.   • Oversee cost management within the department
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts
  • Analyse financial data and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with the finance team to set annual budgets
  • Develop cost-effective business strategies in line with company goals
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure cost accounting accuracy
  • Present cost accounting reports to the management
  • Comply with financial regulations and company policies
ProfileA successful Cost Accountant should have:
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Relevant certification (e.g. CMA, ACCA)
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial principles
  • Proficiency in financial software
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
