Job Description

Corporate AssociateEdinburghA Corporate Associate is required for a rewarding opportunity with a top 50 law firm. The role will be based in the Edinburgh and offers a basic salary of up to £70,000.The Corporate team deals with a range of complex matters including private and public M&A, private equity, investments, venture capital, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, and recovery.You will be undertaking general Corporate work with a range of FTSE250 and private equity clients and other large national and local clients.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to clients on corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of corporate agreements and documents.
  • Conduct due diligence investigations and risk assessments.
  • Manage client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff to achieve team goals.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments and industry trends.
Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor with 4-6 years of PQE in corporate law, gained at a reputable law firm.
  • Strong technical expertise in corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and private equity.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analyticalskills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex matters independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional client management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
