Contract | Cost | Management | Project Manager | NEC4 | Claim | Wind | Procurement | Quantity Surveyor | Civil | Oil & Gas | Construction Role: Contract & Cost ManagerLocation: Edinburgh Salary: £35k - £45k per ann + competitive benefitsIndustry: Wind/Renewable Energy The OpportunityOur Client is recruiting for a Contract & Cost Manager who will be an integral member of their project team; focused in optimising the project realization in matters of time, cost and quality.Main Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Budget calculations and support the local Sales team
  • Commercial Project Execution and Controlling
  • Supporting the Procurement team for purchasing of project services
  • Strengthen the cost focus in the Project team
  • Contract and Variation Management with regards to all clients and subcontractors involved in our Wind Farms
  • Cost monitoring, reporting and controlling during project realization
  • Commercial cost and activity accounting
  • Preparation of offers for additional project works and services
  • Support the Project team in terms of commercial issues during the whole project lifecycle, adhering to Company policies and procedures
Qualifications and Profile:
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil or Building Engineering with a specialty in Contract and Cost management
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a strong knowledge of Claim/Project/Contract Management in the Construction/Oil and Gas sector
  • Systematic and autonomous working style
  • Willingness to work in and travel to remote locations throughout the Western Europe region
  • Contract and Claim Management skills
  • Cost Control skills
  • NEC 4 experience is a distinct advantage
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and good SAP user skills
  • Excellent communication skills
