Responsibilities of an inbound collections advisor:
  • Arranging collection of debt through telephone (predominantly inbound), email and online services.
  • Establishing the consumers ability to pay.
  • Contacting consumers to put in place tailored solutions to enable them to address their debt situation bearing in mind their financial well-being.
  • Handling general file queries.
  • Sending out financial statements, evidence and response packs.
  • Working with vulnerable consumers in line with the firms policies and procedures.
  • Negotiating re-payments and settlements.
What are we looking forAs an inbound collections advisor, you will be expected to have:
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a customer service or contact centre role.
  • People skills and confidence in your PC skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • A positive "can-do" attitude, strong service ethic, and a passion for people.
  • The ability to handle challenging calls, with resilience and determination.
  • English and mathematics to a satisfactory level.
  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (desirable)
  • Collections experience in a consumer environment (desirable)
Salary: £21,500 per annum.Hours: Work 37.5 hours per week. Must be available for shifts between 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday.
