This is an Exposure Prone post.The successful applicant will join a well-established team comprising another eight doctors at ST level 4 or above attached to the Upper GI unit which provides both elective and emergency surgical care for the Lothian population providing registrar level support to the service. The main commitment will be to provide cover to the emergency general surgery on- call rota, and secondly to participate in the elective day surgery and inpatient ward duties with a focus on benign Upper GI surgery and abdominal wall/complex hernia work.
