Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Cisco Network Specialist for an initial 7 month contract on a rate of c.£350/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current situation this role will be a mixture of both onsite and offsite working. Responsibilities: • Provide 3rd level support of the organisations Cisco network hardware and Unified Communcations systems. • Management of the organisations Network inc LAN, WAN, Security, VOIP and UC Platforms.• Support/resolve incident tickets.• Contribute to Network Team Projects as required • BAU activities inc, engineering, installation, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, monitoring, facilitating, reporting, documenting, training, working with vendors, and undertaking preventative maintenance.Requirements: • Extensive Cisco networking experience in a mulit-site environment.• Advanced working knowledge of Cisco and other vendors network appliances.• Cisco Networking & Unified Comms.• Internetworking concepts.• Firewall maintenance and moves, adds, changes.• Diagnosis and troubleshooting of Network / UC specific issues.• Must be able to continuously prioritize activities to ensure that network or UC operations are never compromised.• Perform complex tasks, decision making or in depth analysis with minimal direction.Desirable Skills:• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent technology training with 5 years experience in Network Support / Design • CCIE, CCNP• Public sector experienceIf you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
