Job Description

Are you looking for a new job role that provides excellent work life balance Would you like to work for an award-winning healthcare brand with the tools and support to make a real difference to patients in the comfort of their own homeWork as a Community Chemotherapy Nurse for a nationally recognised, specialist provider of Cancer Care. This community based role is located in the Oxford catchment area and involves providing oncology patients with specialist treatments.This role will involve seeing patients for bloods, toxicity assessments, IV/Oral chemotherapy, pump disconnections, line care, IM/SC injections and more.Although you will be working independently in the community, you will remain very much part of a wider nursing team, enjoying regular contact with managers and colleagues. You will remain at the cutting edge of your profession, gaining exposure to new technologiesand therapies, and helping to develop care models that break the mould.Key criteria for a Chemotherapy Nurse include:

  • RGN with active NMC PIN
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience of community based work is desirable but not essential
  • Experience within the acute setting and competent in the administration of chemotherapy, cytotoxic drugs, cannulation and clinical assessments
  • SACT Passport desirable but not essential
