Job Description

We are looking for a StudentCognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) Practitioner to join our growing Student Wellbeing and Inclusion team at Edinburgh Napier University on guaranteed hours, fixed term basis for one year (maternity cover). We are looking to increase our pool of practitioners to work subject to the Universitys service demands; therefore, there must be flexibility to work daytime and early evenings(Monday to Friday).Edinburgh Napiers Student Counselling and Mental Wellbeing Service offers counselling, CBT and mental health support to a student body consisting of approximately 19,500 students.We are recruiting to a role that offers a significant and exciting opportunity to be part of a team who continue to develop and innovate a student focused service provision.About Us Based in Scotlands vibrant capital city, we are an innovative, learner centric university with a modern and fresh outlook. These roles offer a significant and exciting opportunity to join a team that continues to develop and innovate a student-focused service provision.You will offer short-term goal-orientated one-on-one CBT and service assessments whilst promoting self-help techniques and resources to increase students overall mental well-being and resilience.You will be able to work independently and carry an individual caseload and play a primary role in providing CBT to Edinburgh Napier Students contributing actively as a member of the team.The role will also contribute to the Service, supporting students via Silver Cloud, a web-based CBT online program (training will be provided).These are integral roles within the team, and the service office is primarily based at the Sighthill campus, although students are seen in one to ones at our other campuses.Who were looking for Candidates will be degree qualified (or equivalent) with a recognised post-graduate diploma or equivalent qualifications in CBT. You will be a registered member of BACP or equivalent and/or evidence of working towards accreditation.You will have experience (and preferably a qualification) in online therapeutic work, as you will be part of delivering a hybrid CBT model, i.e., online (from home) and face to face CBT.
