Adecco Engineering have an opening with our Global Client for a permanent position for an experienced CAD Support Engineer to join their team based in Edinburgh.The ideal candidate will have strong experience/understanding of Silicon Design.This is a great opportunity to join and active and progressive multi-skilled support and development team providing CAD and IT Support to designers and engineers, developing new tools, flows and automations to help guarantee First Time Silicon Success.Core Responsibilities:Provide support for designers and engineers on the CAD Design flow and a wide range of CAD tools.Support on IT infrastructure such as license and storage management, data management tools (SVN, Git, Designsync) and the central computer farm as well as on platforms such as Continuous Integration, Application Life Cycle Management and SharePoint.Development of new tools in Python (including Web and Database technologies where required).Candidate ProfileThe preferred candidate should have a strong silicon design/CAD background coupled with extensive IT experience.A good understanding of Silicon design CAD Flows, software and tools.Extensive experience with the UNIX operating system and shell scripting (Csh/Bash).Development experience with Python.Knowledge of data management tools (Designsync, SVN, Git).Strong communication and interface skills are required and will be used to communicate with Worldwide teams, Customers and Vendors etc.Good presentation skills to communicate new tools, road maps and trainingBasic project management techniques to help manage large projectsGood team working skills, the ability to learn quickly and autonomously, enthusiasm, energy and finally an open mind to new learn to technologies.Please apply on-line with up to date CV.
