Job Description

Meraki Talent are supporting with the appointment of a Business Partner - Consultant to join a market leading financial services organisation based in Edinburgh paying a salary of £55,00065,000 plus excellent bonus potential and benefits. The OpportunityThe position of Business partner Consultant sits within the finance department for a world leading investment company. This will present the opportunity to be involved in several sophisticated projects. This role supports financial analysis and reporting whilstparticipating in Stakeholder meetings. The CandidateThe successful candidate will come from a strong analytical background, previously worked within financial services preferable but not essential. Business Consultants will support commercial activity and be involved in key strategic decision making. Communicationwill play a key factor in this role with dealing with multiple partners and stakeholders. On OfferThe position of Business Partner Consultant will offer:

Key Duties
  • Preparing financial modelling and analysis to support key commercial and strategic decision making covering a range of initiatives. Techniques will include performing market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation computations
  • Provide and evaluate financial performance, trends and variance analysis, with supporting improvement recommendations.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure that new business initiatives are supported.
  • Demonstrate strong modelling by ensuring analysis is drawn from robust data sources
  • Work with our new technologies to develop robotic reporting and analytical tools
  • Build partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with senior managers and their team
  • Support project teams with financial analysis and control to ensure business cases are fit for purpose together with post implementation reviews
  • Monthly presentation of financial performance, full year forecasts and budget variances including understanding financial opportunities and risk
  • Support where appropriate the financial records and portrayal of general ledger is correct
To be considered for this vacancy, you must have the following experience:
  • Qualified or Part qualified CA, ACCA, CIMA etc.
  • Excellent communication
  • Excellent analytical ability with a good attention to detail
  • Experience working with a financial services organisation
