Meraki Talents boutique asset management client in Edinburgh is currently looking for several Business Analysts to join them on and initial 12-month fixed term contract basis. This role requires candidates with experience of working within Asset / Investment Management.Responsibilities of the Business Analyst;* Collaborating with the Product Owner to create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria.* Participating in PI Planning and creating Iteration plans and Team PI Objectives* Developing and committing to Team PI Objectives and Iteration plans* Working with the Product Owner to confirm that the change reflects the desired functionality* Conducting research, contributing to design, prototyping and other exploration activities* Planning & executing acceptance tests in conjunction with SMEs* Support the Program Team and Epic owners with methodical analysis, domain knowledge and necessary documentation.* Support the business in the creation and alteration of Target Operating Models and supporting documentation.* Work with and challenge key individuals in the business including Operations and IT, and suppliers (where necessary) to improve the clarity of user stories and acceptance criteria.* Contribute to the selection of new business solutions; participate in the evaluation phase within the Request for Information (RFI) process.* Contribute to the proper maintenance of stories and tasks within the teams Jira board.Essential skills / experience;* Experience in business analysis activities.* Experience in carrying out structured analysis, documenting business requirements/user stories, process design, acceptance testing and post implementation support.* Experience in a complex environment, involving multiple business areas, and external and internal clients and suppliers.* Requirement gathering and analysis techniques* Understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework* SQL Querying (of MS SQL Databases)* Experience in an investment management environment.Desirable skills / experience;* BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis* Scrum master certification (PSM1 or CSM)* Large scale transformation experience* Systems Migration experience* Experience working with investment / asset management platforms.Is this job for you At Meraki, we love recruitment and love words.
