So heres the thing about career progression.Only a few people out there really have a clear idea of what it means to them.Are you one of those peopleAnd if so, are you one of the ambitious types who fancies themselves running your own brokerageNow this isnt some self employed franchise arrangement here where you get a bit of training then youre chucked in at the deep end on your own.This one is a bit different so let me explain.Here you will be joining a boutique insurance brokerage as part of their clear succession plan and in a nutshell, youll be working towards MD level, running the business ultimately.But you need to walk a bit before you can really run.So, youll be joining the business initially as an Account Executive/Branch Manager hybrid role. Straight away youll be working with the firms core clientele of commercial insurance clients, getting to know key stakeholders, insurers, systems, processes.As you get fully integrated into this role, youll begin your journey towards MD level. Beig heavily involved in business strategy, budgeting, operations, people management, marketing, sales, finance. Essentially youll be building exp3riene in all aspectsof the running of the business and learning everything about how you manage a successful brokerage.And all of this under the watchful eye and mentorship of a seasoned veteran of the broking game. Someone who knows a thing or two about building high performing broking businesses.So the concept here is clear. Build your experience, sponge up all the mentoring you can and in a few years youll be running the show.And when you are, youll enjoy an equity holding status in the business and will see game changing financial rewards.Ideally youll already be established in the commercial insurance arena, as an Account Executive, Development Underwriter or Broking Manager.Geographically youll need to be East Coast based, somewhere between Edinburgh and Dundee.But above all, youll have a fire in your belly to work hard and become extremely successful.Visit the IDEX Consulting Ltd website for further opportunities.
