BRIDGE ENGINEERLocation: EdinburghSalary: £33-£42k (Depending on experience)The Opportunity:Our client is seeking a talented Engineer to join the Bridges and Civil Structures team based in their Edinburgh office. You will be working as part of a highly motivated team on a wide variety of exciting and transformative projects within the UK and abroad.You will play an active role in all stages of projects from scheme design through to construction. This will include feasibility studies, road and rail bridge assessments, detailed design and site support; supporting other bridge engineers and techniciansto undertake tasks and produce project deliverables; interfacing with other disciplines, and communication with other stakeholders within the wider project teams. The successful candidate will become a permanent member of our creative, friendly, and successfulteam with a view to gaining chartership with a professional institution (e.g. ICE or IStructE) in the near future.You will be a competent and enthusiastic bridge/civil structures engineer and an excellent communicator with a very strong technical background. Whilst existing rail competency would be ideal, it is not essential if your work to date has been predominantlybased around highway bridge design, particularly if this has included work on existing and historical bridges of a range of different structural forms and materials. Ideally, you would have produced and managed the production of engineering deliverables suchas calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports for technically complex bridge/civil structure works for transportation infrastructure. Additionally, you would be familiar with best practice bridge/civil structure design, assessment and analysis methods,associated codes of practice, and approval processes.Essential Requirements:
