Job Description

Pertemps Scotland Ltd are delighted to be working with our public sector client in central Edinburgh to recruit for a BEMS Project Manager.Location - central EdinburghDuration - temporary ongoing rolePay - hourly rate dependant on experienceHours - Monday - Friday, 36 hours a weekApplicants must have experience of Building Energy Management System Controls, ideally from working in the Industry. A good knowledge of building services operation and design is essential.The successful candidate will be carrying out the following duties:

  • Budget management, forecasting and year to date reporting on the BEMS Upgrade project
  • Planning BEMS framework building for upgrades in conjunction with internal stakeholders
  • Carrying out site surveys for upgrades
  • Discussing current building operations and issues with the relevant parties whilst capturing the scope of works and agreeing installation timetables
  • Liaising with procurement to publish framework opportunities
  • Reviewing and accessing returned tenders including technical proposals, scope of works documents, quantified schedule of rates, delivery programme and any H&S issues raised
  • Notify procurement of companies selected
  • Raise and obtain work order approval and issue to contractor along with contractual documentation and target completion dates
  • Liaise with M&E compliance teams to any M&E requirements
  • Inform sites of proposed work and timetables
  • Obtain weekly progress reports from contractors
  • Attend sites for full demonstrations
  • Issue and track snags
  • Close out projects
  • Maintain, update and distribute BEMS specification when required
