THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION IN ISLE OF MAN / UK / EUROPEYou will support the business creating engaging sports betting platform that fulfils the needs of clients and players, with the ultimate goal of being the number one B2B sports betting platform globally.They are looking for Software Developers (Back-end) to play a leading role in building and continuously improving their proprietary, omni-channel sports betting solution, as well as helping to design and implement a variety of related and complementary systemswithin a cross-platform framework. This is a unique and technically challenging role, and you will have a high level of proficiency in Back-end technologies.Responsibilities:- Back-end design, development and maintenance of the Companys server side omni-channel sports betting solution and gaming products- Research, evaluate and introduce new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and internal processes- Assess product opportunities and contribute meaningfully to the vision and prioritisation of new features and initiatives- Design and build new products and features, as well as maintain and refactor older legacy systems- Ability to pick up other developers work on an ad hoc basis as well as support client enquiries and product handovers- With a focus on coding and debugging, take ownership of the server-side code base, oversee other developers and accepted best practice by demonstrating proper coding techniques including maintainability, reuse, clean code, unit testing and driving standardswithin the teamRequirements:- 3 years working as a software engineer- Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages- Experience in setting up and designing new products, as well as the maintenance and refactoring of older legacy products- Proven knowledge of Agile software development processes- Ideally you will have experience/knowledge of GoLang, however, if you are working with Java, PHP, NodeJS they would still love to hear from you!- Strong knowledge with Linux system principles, proficient in using Linux commands and scripts- Strong knowledge with relational database principles and SQL language- Familiarity with databases (MySQL), web servers and UI/UX designWhats it in for youThey are currently entering scale-up period, they have very ambitious growth targets for their Sports Technology Business, a key part of this investing into the tech team.
