Job Description

Blue Arrow Edinburgh are currently looking for an experienced Audio Typist/Administrator for our dynamic, forward thinking Financial Services client based in the heart of Edinburgh. The primary purpose of the role is the provision of a word processing and administrative support service to the Branch. You must have excellent typing skills at around 60 wpm.Key Areas of Responsibility:* Provide a full word processing service, prioritising as necessary to ensure prompt processing and high standards are maintained.* Scanning (to include Corporate Actions scanning) - ensure paperwork is scanned to client files timeously and accurately. Check scanning on correct accounts as per procedures.* Processing of incoming/outgoing mail from DX, Royal Mail to meet agreed timescales adhering to the internal procedures and maintaining the relevant spreadsheets.* Welcome clients and visitors to the office in a courteous manner showing them to allocated meeting rooms, offering and preparing refreshments as required. Take responsibility for making sure meeting rooms and reception are kept tidy.* Answering telephone, resolving queries, taking messages and/or transferring calls to colleagues as appropriate.* When primary role permits, offering assistance with other duties/tasks.* Assist with the organisation of events being hosted by the Branch, i.e. catering and refreshments, venue, PowerPoint presentations, handouts, support packs and the production of name badges. It may also involve attendance at external locations.* Demonstrate a willingness to accept responsibility for self and colleagues* Act as an effective team player, providing support to colleagues and sharing own knowledge and experience.Qualifications & Experience:* Typing skills 60 wpm* Educated to GCSE or equivalent.* Experience of working in a similar environment is preferable as is a general understanding of the stock market and investment operations.* High level of attention to detail/organisation and accuracy is vital* Excellent organisational and time management skills, ability to prioritise effectively and provide thorough and timely follow-up to client queries and admin and work to agreed deadlines* Able to demonstrate sound computer skills* Good verbal communicator with a strong command of language* Resourceful, flexible, conscientious, and approachable* The ability to work as part of a team as well as on own* The ability to handle client queries (both internal and external) and resolve problems* An understanding of investment administration systems and processes* A broad knowledge and understanding of applicable FCA rules
