Job Description

Job Title: Associate DirectorLocation: Edinburgh Salary: CompetitiveDo you want to work within a rapidly growing and established planning and landscape consultancy A brilliant opportunity has presented itself to work with a client who offers a broadened range of landscape planning expertise, including strategic landscapeplanning and landscape research; the full suite of landscape planning expertise from concept to completion on site; and extensive capabilities in landscape management to realise design and practical. Their values lie within striving for excellence, trust, commitment, collaboration, sustainability and are solution focused.As an associate director, your main role will be to work with Directors and other practice to drive the continued growth of the business. This will involve supporting and expanding their client and geographical base for EIA, Project Management and PlanningServices in renewable energy, infrastructure, minerals, and waste sectors, identifying and exploiting opportunities for the expansion of these services in other sectors.Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ideally private sector, client-side and local authority experience
  • MRTPI qualified
  • Renewables experience
  • At least 4 years experience
  • A town planning track record
  • Excellent client relationship building and management
  • Self-motivated and ambitious with ability to motivate others
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
Day to day duties:
  • To develop and expand client and geographical base for EIA
  • Identify energy, infrastructure, minerals, and waste sectors
  • Identify and exploit opportunities for the expansion of EIA, Project Management and Planning Services
  • To work with Directors in ensuring the practice is managed in a financially sound manager
  • To work with Directors to establish and deliver practice priorities measured by Key Performance Indicators
  • To mentor and manage multidisciplinary teams working on Planning/ EIA Projects
  • To develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and ensure delivery of high-quality project work
  • To market the services of the Practice and prepare fee proposals as required
  • Other duties as appropriate to the role
