Change Recruitment Group are delighted to be working in partnership with an Edinburgh based organisation, who are looking to appoint an Assistant Finance Business Partner (AFBP) to join their finance team. You will work closely with the FBP and will be responsiblefor all aspects of management accounting, including, formation of accounts, complex financial analysis, financial control reviews and financial insight. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and insight across the finance function while making animpact by identifying process improvements to increase efficiency.Key responsibilities: Production of management accounts Analysis of the management accounts and provide high quality commentary providing business insights and performance against plan Assisting with budgets and forecasting Ensuring efficient processes are in place to allow effective consolidation into the overall production of the monthly financial reporting processes Assisting in the production and interpretation of a wide variety of regular and ad-hoc financial data and analysis, including financial KPIs Working with key stakeholders across the business to provide detailed financial plans and budgets Provide day to day support and expertise to Directors and Managers across different areas of the organisationKey skills and experience: Part Qualified and actively studying towards an accountancy qualification ACCA/CIMA/ICAS Preparation of monthly management accounts Ability to explain financial information to non-financial colleagues Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment Experienced in accounts preparation, budget management and accounting regulations Analytical and problem-solving abilities High attention to detail with the ability to be self-motivated and disciplined Organised, work to tight deadlines and able to prioritise multiple simultaneous workloads Strong computer skills and good working knowledge of MS ExcelThis is a newly created role due to growth within the business and would offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop within a supportive environment.
