Job Description

Assembler / Edinburgh / £12 per hourOur client, a leading global business that specialises in the production of electronic equipment and communication systems are seeking a skilled Assembler to join their dynamic team located just outside Edinburgh. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge industry, this could be the perfect role for you.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble or modify electrical and electronic equipment, including computers, test equipment, telemetering systems, electric motors, and batteries.
  • Perform assembly, testing, and shipping of advanced radio communication equipment.
  • Sit and/or stand for 8 hours or more, especially when working overtime.
  • Utilise basic computer skills to read and enter data as required.
  • Read and follow build documentation to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and safety, paying close attention to detail.
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record and be prepared to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends, for the duration of the assignment.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, collaborating with colleagues to meet production goals.
  • Quickly learn and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs consistently as part of your duties.
  • Operate light fabrication equipment, and soldering skills are a plus.
  • Use torque equipment as necessary.
  • Exhibit good hand dexterity for intricate assembly tasks.
  • Be willing to rotate between various positions within the organisation based on business needs.
  • Wear steel-toed shoes for safety purposes.
  • Possess 1-3 years of relevant assembly experience.
Ideal Person
  • 1-3 years of experience in assembly or a related field.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent hand dexterity and ability to operate light fabrication equipment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Soldering skills are a plus.
  • Quick learner with a positive attitude.
