Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit an ASP.Net (Delphi) Developer for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of c.£450/day (outside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will initially be based remotely. Responsibilities:• The ASP .Net Analyst / Developer will be part of a new team which will transition the support for three legacy applications from a third party provider to the organisation. The team will then provide BAU support and minor updates to the applications until the organisation can sundown these applications.Requirements:• Work closely with other staff to support a number of legacy applications across the organisation.• Provide BAU support for two main applications including minor enhancements to ensure that the applications meet current legislation.• Maintain a development environment for the two applications.• Maintain documentation for any updates to these systems including run manuals.• Ensure that the source code is controlled and that any updates follow the relevant governance (CAB, Architecture review etc). • Provide sundown support for a legacy application written in Delphi 6 • Support the redevelopment of a number of legacy MS Access based applications• Transition any additional legacy applications from a third party vendor to the organisation support as required.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
