Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Roofing / Waterproofing SystemsJob Title: Area Sales Manager - Roofing / Waterproofing SystemsIndustry Sector: Roofing, Waterproofing, Single Ply, Liquid Roofing, Roofing Systems, Bituminous Waterproofing, Architects, Main Contractors, End Users, Developers, Surveyors, Local Authorities, Building Envelope, Area Sales Manager, Specification Sales Manager Area to be covered: ScotlandRemuneration: £35,000 - £45,000 + uncapped commission (£12,000+)Benefits: Hybrid VW Golf & comprehensive benefits packageThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Roofing / Waterproofing Systems will involve:

  • Technical field sales position, selling a manufactured range of waterproofing systems such as; single ply, bituminous waterproofing, liquid waterproofing, acoustic membranes, concrete repair, mortar waterproofing repairs, building drainage systems
  • Working on both new build and refurbishment projects
  • The majority of your time will be focused on selling to roofing contractors
  • The remaining portion of your time will be spent generating specifications with architects
  • Will be targeted to achieve £750k turnover
  • Most of your time will be spent generating new business relationships from incoming warm enquiries
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Roofing / Waterproofing Systems with:
  • Must have a sold a technical related building envelope system such as: roofing, insulation, single ply, bituminous waterproofing, liquid waterproofing, acoustic membranes, concrete repair, mortar waterproofing repairs, building drainage systems, air tightness
  • Open in terms of route to market either main contractors, specification or distribution
  • Would consider a merchant background
  • Must have a strong technical mind set i.e. capable of selling on a technical solution and product
  • Excellent attributes to be successful in sales - excellent communication skills, personable and likeable character
