Job Description

Our client, an Edinburgh based energy company, are looking for an Accounts Assistant to support them through an exciting project for a period of 6 months. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern industry and work with an internationally based team. The role will be based in Edinburgh City Centre, but remote working will be required occasionally.Due to the nature of this role you must be able to commit to the entirety of the contactThe successful candidate will have advanced proficiency in Excel and will have worked within a similar role or industry and be able to hit the ground running to facilitate the success of this project.You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a busy team and managing a broad range of tasks daily. This is a full-time permanent role Monday to Friday with an immediate start available.Duties:-

  • Checking & analysing billing data
  • Monthly reconciliation and validation of revenue flows and invoices
  • Creating and running reports using Excel
  • Liaising with traders & clients regarding pricing
  • Monthly reconciliation and validation of charges or revenues
  • Coordination of communication with the billing counterparts
  • Producing client letters and ensuring files are up to date
  • Liaising with engineers regarding on-going & planned maintenance
  • Ensuring website is kept up to date
  • Support on preparation and submission of outage notifications
  • Creating maintenance plans and tracking the progress
  • Support on preparation and submission of formal turbine commissioning notifications to our trading service providers
  • Daily submission of turbine commissioning updates to our Trading Service Provider
  • Support the preparation of formal documentation for the above activities and processes
  • Key Skills:-
  • Account handling experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Process driven
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel (advanced knowledge necessary)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English - additional languages would be highly valuable
  • Capability to identify priorities and resolve problems
