Job Description

We are recruiting a full time Accounts Assistant to join our clients Accounts & Business Advisory team in Edinburgh, with flexible and remote working arrangements. This team provides transactional accounting support for the firms clients.Client DetailsOur client is a leading independent CA firm, headquartered in Edinburgh city centre. The ABA team is innovative and high-performing with a supportive environment.Description

  • Prepare annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Prepare management accounts from client cashbooks and liaise with clients, as necessary
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Establish a professional and confident working relationship with clients, dealing with telephone enquiries timeously, escalating queries as appropriate, in order to enhance the Firms reputation and business opportunities
  • Profile
  • A minimum of 2 years experience, preferably within another accountancy firm
  • Begun accountancy qualification - ICAS/ACCA/ICAEW
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage your own portfolio of clients including workflow, communication and deadlines
  • In depth analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Technology savvy
  • Xero experience is considered an advantage
  • Client focused and delivers with excellent communication
  • Able to prioritise to meet deadlines and the needs of the business
