Our ambitious and exciting vision is to work at local, national, and international levels, leading innovation and sustainable development in agriculture and rural sectors.The purpose of this post is to support the student-facing (including research students) and research-facing work of the faculty by providing a high-quality administrative service as part of the Faculty Office administration team.Responsibilities include but not limited to: To provide administrative support to Head of Faculty Administration, and as and when required to Heads of Department and other managers and staff across the faculty. To field queries (e.g. from staff and students) in relation to the above, dealing with these or directing to other staff as appropriate. To provide a front of house service to students as and when required. To manage correspondence for the team/faculty (as applicable) efficiently and effectively (incoming/outgoing and internal/external). To maintain records and databases of activities and staff records that are relevant to the team/faculty. To provide information, reports and summaries as required.To produce, and/or assist with production of, reports and summaries as required. To order and receipt goods and services for the faculty, and invoice students and external clients where applicable. To arrange and support meetings, monitoring/supporting completion of action points where applicable. To assist (where applicable) with diary management, reconciliation of receipts/expenses, and with booking of travel, accommodation & conferences. To maintain records of safety assessments for the faculty. To work closely with colleagues to ensure workload is evenly allocated within the team. To assist with the review, development and implementation of relevant administrative procedures and processes. To provide relief administration support for other teams, within or out with the faculty e.g. at times of peak workload.To be considered for this role you should possess demonstrable experience of working within a varied administrative role. Applicants should have a good standard of education, a comprehensive knowledge of IT software (particularly Microsoft Office and databases)and good communication skills.This is a permanent, part-time role of 22.5 hours per week.
