We are excited to announce full time permanent Dietetic positions within the Oncology/ Haematology Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. We are looking for highly motivated, flexible and enthusiastic dietitians to join our team - please enquire for more information.This is an ideal position for those that are wishing to gain experience in different areas of oncological/ haematological care in a busy and diverse tertiary hospital. We are a regional Oncology center for the West Midlands and apart of one of the biggest Hematology centers in the UK.We are expanding the Oncology/Haematology team consisting of 5 dietitians and looking for dietitians interested in Haematology, Radiotherapy and Head and Neck cancer. We have regular team meetings, peer supervision and support and encourage extended scope of dietetic practice.This position offers an ideal opportunity to work within an established multi-professional team and gain experience in a challenging and diverse range of work. Part of the role will also involve multidisciplinary meetings, education talks (to patients and staff) and outpatient clinics. This post is part of a busy acute team - excellent communication skills and a high standard of personal organisation and time management are essential for these roles.Within this post you will also be responsible for the training of dietetic placement students, taking part in audit, clinical supervision and reflection. There will be opportunity for shadowing other areas within the department.You would be joining a large department of Dietitians and assistants which includes specialists in diabetes, nutrition support, gastroenterology, upper GI, renal, HIV, liver and IMD. We are committed to supporting the ongoing personal and professional development of our staff and offer excellent training and development opportunities.The Dietetic Service is an integral part of the Trust wide Therapy Directorate and you will work closely with other Therapy colleagues as part of a wider Therapy Team. We support audits and research.This opportunity could be flexible to both full time and part time work depending on the successful candidates.
