Job Description

Would you like to be part of an organisation which is committed to improving patient lives worldwide through education, collaboration and innovationDo you want to make a differenceIf the answer is yes then youre just the kind of person were looking for!We are looking for a Purchasing Apprentice to join the Purchasing Team.The successful candidate will be involved in:

  • Acting on and supporting improvements in Purchasing KPIs as required.
  • Gathering, collating and analysing spend and market data in collaboration with the Purchasing Analyst.
  • Maintaining purchasing records and data on the company ERP system.
  • Support service level and quality reporting as necessary.
  • Processing (placing, sending, confirming and archiving) purchase orders for non-stock items.
  • Expediting orders and deliveries.
  • Dealing with goods to be returned, rejected, reworked etc.
  • Scanning and copying relevant documentation into archive systems.
  • General departmental administrative duties.
  • Ensuring entered data is checked and correct.
  • Routine cleansing of ERP data.
  • Maintenance and setting up of new suppliers in the ERP system.
Essential:
  • GCSE or equivalent in English & Maths.
  • Successful completion of CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate OR 2 years relevant work experience OR 2 A-level qualifications.
  • Basic MS Office (Excel, Word & Powerpoint) and email.
  • Good communications skills (both written and verbal)
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • To be well organised with the ability to priortise workload
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • To be friendly and approachable
  • To be enthusiastic with the willingness to learn
  • To be flexible to the needs of the business
