It is one of the most consistently high performing trusts in the NHS and has been rated "excellent" for leadership by the Healthcare Commission.An opportunity has arisen within the Imaging Department for an Operations Manager to cover Maternity leave and ongoing management changes within the group. This role differs from those within other divisions with a significant emphasis on staff management, diagnostic targets, financial planning and highly technical project management.UHB Imaging undertakes in excess of 900,000 examinations per year including all aspects of diagnostic and interventional radiology, with a workforce of approximately 730 including 81 Consultant Radiologists.The post-holder will have day to day responsibility for areas of the administrative team that supports the Imaging service. Therefore, the post-holder will have significant experience of managing teams and the implementation of Trust policies e.g. sickness absence, poor performance etc. The post-holder will also be familiar with the associated monitoring systems e.g. Healthroster, SMART and Allocate.The post-holder will assist the Group Manager and Heads of Imaging in all aspects of service management including delegated financial responsibilities, Consultant staffing, performance tracking across all imaging modalities, workflow reviews, investigations, audits and project work.
