Live-in PA / Carer / Support worker / Graduate-EdgbastonHours: Monday - Sunday (Live in).Salary: £840 per week. 1 week on 1 week off, (Paid weekly) Will be provided with your own room.Start Date: ASAPLocation: Edgbaston, BirminghamAskJules are agents for university students with physical disabilities who choose to employ like-minded Personal Assistants (PAs) to provide their care and support.About our ClientPhysically disabled (electric wheelchair user) suffers from Cerebral PalsyClear communication and ability to verbalise her needs.Very independent, sociable, loves going out partying and to the cinema but also spends time chilling watching Netflix and TV series.Describes herself as bubbly happy, funny, confident and outgoing.Music: Loves all types of pop and dance music.Movies: Disney, animation, romance & comedies or a combination of the latter two!Bubbly, friendly person who is up for a laugh.Independent and sociable.Loves Creative Writing, trying to build a portfolio of creative pieces to use in the future including a fantasy-fiction Novel.Writes her own blog and recently published her own book of Short Stories.Enjoys going to the cinema, shopping, going to coffee shops or a bite to eatA big passion for all things Harry Potter, Once Upon A Time and Friends. Somewhat shy initially with PAs until you both become more comfortable with each other. A dry sense of humour.Undertaking a Professional Masters degree in Creative Writing at Coventry University.About the JobBased at her home in Edgbaston, Birmingham there will be regular trips with her by train to Coventry. When at Coventry University you will be expected to take notes and help with study support with all academic work.Assistance will be required with personal creative work and blogging.Care experience is not required as full training in our clients particular requirements will be provided.This is a great opportunity doing something very different and meaningful in what would hopefully be a long-term position.This role is more of A big sister than carer and includes all the fun things youd expect a someone of 24 years old to be doing. Like getting out, going to see friends, going to parties, the cinema, going on days out, watching a bit of Netflix and much more!A drivers license would be a bonus but is not essential provided you are comfortable with walking and using public transport and taxis.
