Our vision is to Build Healthier Lives, and we recognise that we need incredible staff to do this.Overview:We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Level 3 IT Azure Cloud Support Specialist Apprenticeship.This is a fantastic opportunity to start your IT career at the midlands largest NHS Trust. This role comes with the benefit of completing a fully funded L3 IT Apprenticeship.The roles will be based at Yardley Court, Fredrick Road, Birmingham in the main but the successful candidates will be expected to spend some time working on the hospital sites within the desktop support teams.The IT Service Centre provides a single point of contact and liaison for all internal and external IM&T Incidents, Requests and enquiries.We are looking for 4 Junior IT Service Centre Analysts to assist in the provision of responsive, customer focussed service, providing routine 1st Level IT Support to Trust users and stakeholders as directed.Duties:You will provide:

  • Initial assessment
  • Support
  • Triage of routine Telephony / Portal raised incidents and requests, including user access and desktop support with a view to facilitating timely resolution and/or escalation assignment within agreed service levels and targets

We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate they have a genuine interest and passion for the apprenticeship role.The candidate will study and complete the Information Communications Technician level 3 Standard.The course will consist of both on and off-the-job learning.Entry requirements:The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:
  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.Find out more here: https://Qualifications/UKQRS/Default.aspxWorking hours:The current Service hours are 8am - 5pm, five days per week.37.5 hour working week.Holiday entitlement:

Future prospects:92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.Important Information:QAs apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
