Are you a committed individual with a passion for empowering health professionals via intelligent analyticsWould you like to be part of a talented team building innovative analytical products that help inform decision makers across the NHSIf so, the Health Informatics Department at University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB) have an exciting opportunity within the team responsible for building the HED (Healthcare Evaluation Data) tool.The HED system is an online analytics platform providing benchmarking and performance analysis to UHB and NHS organisations across England. The successful applicant will work with a diverse group of colleagues that includes web-developers, analysts, statisticians and business managers all focused on providing data-driven solutions to UHB and the wider NHS.The post holder will play a key role in providing comprehensive, efficient information and analytical services. The daily role will involve using SQL server and other packages to analyse, visualise and manipulate data, support system developments and provide end-user support.Reporting to the Senior Intelligence Analyst, the post would be suited to an experienced analyst with significant MS t-SQL skills and knowledge of statistical techniques.Health sector background is not essential.Shortlisted applicants will first be invited to a brief phone interview, with select candidates being invited back for a longer second interview via video on MS Teams. Interviews will include a technical skills test relating to MS SQL Server.This role is based at Yardley Court, Edgbaston but will initially be based remotely due to the current coronavirus restrictions.The post is currently offered on a 23 month fixed term basis as this is the period for which funding is currently agreed.
