Job Description

  • Are you an experienced cleaner
  • Have you gained cleaning experience within a Hospital, Healthcare or Public Sector environment
  • Do you have infection control and colour scheme cleaning knowledge This would be advantageous but not essential
  • Do you have a valid DBS on the update service or a valid DBS dated within the last 12 months
  • If you do not yet hold a valid DBS, are you happy to apply for a DBS as part of your application (A valid in date DBS is required in order to commence employment)
  • Are you available immediately to work in Edgbaston, Birmingham
  • Can you commence a two day induction programme, starting on Wednesday 22nd April and Thursday 23rd April
  • Are you happy to commence employment on Friday 24th April on an ongoing basis
    • If so, I would love to speak with you, as our NHS client are currently seeking a number of experienced cleaners to join their department on an ongoing basis in Edgbaston, Birmingham.Hospital Cleaner Sector: HealthcareJob Type: TemporaryDuration: Ongoing (no end date specified)Location: Edgbaston, BirminghamWorking days and hours:Across Mon-Sunday (37.5 hours per week)Weekly Shift Patterns/Set Hours available:
  • 11am - 7pm Monday - Fridays X2
  • 7am - 3pm Monday - Fridays x1
  • 7am - 3pm Wednesday - Sundays x2
    • Hourly Pay Rate:
  • Monday to Friday Hourly Pay Rate: £9.77 paye inclusive of Holiday pay
  • Saturday Hourly Pay Rate: £11.00 paye inclusive of Holiday pay
  • Sunday Hourly Pay Rate: £13.00 paye inclusive of Holiday pay
    • Duties:
  • Deep cleaning wards and other areas of the hospital
  • Following procedures to control infection in hospital wards
  • General cleaning and tidying up of rooms
  • To ensure the environment is cleaned in line with national cleaning standards.
  • Deliver meal/beverage service
  • Cleaning medical/hard equipment
  • Manage linen quality
  • Report maintenance issues
  • Maintaining stock levels of cleaning products
    • Required Skills/Experience:
  • Cleaning experienced, ideally gained within a Healthcare or Public Sector environment
  • Infection control and colour scheme cleaning knowledge (An advantageous but not essential)
  • Willingness to work the same shift pattern/hours selected weekly (as stated above) working a total of of 37.5 hrs
  • Catering experience
  • Willingess to serve food to patients
  • Hold a valid in date DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update Service
    • In order to successfully commence employment as a Hospital Cleaner, you will need to:
  • Become fully compliant with Your World Healthcare
  • Apply for a valid in date DBS should you not yet hold one
  • Provide references covering the last 3 years
