Job Description

Are you someone who loves to make and fix parts Do you have great manual dexterity and enjoy working with hand tools and machines alike Do you have a desire to learn new skills and progress your career within Production If so this is the role for youworking within this highly successful, established company with outstanding unrivalled products and amazing company ethos.They are seeking a Workshop Technician to join their friendly, highly skilled team, someone who thrives in a rewarding environment, works to a consistently high standard and enjoys the satisfaction of seeing a perfect end product.Full training will be provided however some previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential, you will have great manual dexterity, articulate hand skills and attention to detail with a practical hands on approach,a flair for making and fixing parts showing a high level of craftsmanship. This role also offers the opportunity to develop and progress within the company taking on additional responsibilities.The tasks to be undertaken include:

  • Hand finishing parts so they are ready for assembly
  • Final product assembly
  • Work will include operation of machinery including computer based sewing, riveting and cutting press
  • Assisting in the Warehouse preparing goods for despatch
  • Working closely with the Despatch Team preparing orders to be shipped
This role offers the opportunity to become multi skilled and learn all aspects of production, warehouse operations and within Despatch so that you can offer assistance in all areas depending on the business needs.These products must be made to a consistently high standard of quality therefore they are looking for people with demonstrable aptitude, interest or background in activities that involve making things or using tools.The successful candidates will need to demonstrate:
  • A mature and positive attitude to work
  • Great manual dexterity
  • A desire and aptitude for work in a practical hands-on role making parts and products to a high standard of quality
  • The ability to follow defined manufacturing processes consistently and accurately
  • The ability to work reliably with focus, concentration and attention to detail.
  • They are a team player, flexible and can contribute to achieving the overall objectives of the business
