SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a temporary Logistics Coordinator. This role is needed ASAP, please only apply if you are immediately available or on short notice period. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is to facilitate the distribution of goods within the UK and to coordinate all the import and export activities of the business. Mainly focusing on the export of goods to our growing global customer base, rangingfrom large project shipments to smaller spares orders. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES - Communicating with internal stakeholders to establish transport and packing requirements, whilst building a knowledge of commonly shipped goods. - Produce & manage all documentation required for each shipment, in line with regulatory requirements & legislation. Including customs declarations etc. - Keep abreast of matters that may impact imports or exports, such as changes in documentation requirements for all customer locations, new procedures in relation to Brexit etc. - Monitor all key deliverables by way of KPIs and take appropriate action if targets are not met. - Participate & contribute in meetings, being prepared with key information regarding upcoming shipments and to align logistics plans with business activities. - Provide cover for other administrators when on leave. Ensure cross training on logistics aspects to increase teams logistics bandwidths and to minimise disruption during leave. - Explore all freight options to ensure that customer delivery expectations are met; consider the nature of the consignment, the constraints, and use expertise to achieve the best results. - Plan, organise & execute all freight movements (including document creation and preparation) and support transport and logistics annual budget processes. - Provide support as needed to other functions within the Supply Chain department. You need to be a hands on individual for this role as it may require you to help in other areas of the business. If you have experience working in logistics/transport/supply chain then that is brilliant, if not you have a keen desire to learn. Salary: £10.50 - £12.00 p/h Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:15pm, Friday 8am to 2pm. This is a temporary role so please only apply if you are available to work straight away.
