Job Description

Position Description NCS (National Citizen Service) exists to engage, unite and empower young people, building their confidence so they can go out there and achieve their dreams, no matter where theyre from or what their background is. At Ingeus, this is exactly what we aimto do and are currently looking for NCS Facilitators, Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders throughout October, November and December in the South East and East Midlands to join on a temporary basis.NCS Facilitators will lead a team of young people through a condensed NCS programme with Be Epic, Live Life and Do Good elements. NCS Facilitators will also deliver pre-planned sessions to these groups of 15-17 year olds, within their school as part of theNCS Skills Booster Programme. Working with young people, school leads, external providers, and Ingeus core staff, NCS Facilitators will ensure high-quality, meaningful delivery to students to support their personal development.As the Facilitator, you will have the chance to get involved in some of the following:

  • Ensure young people are engaging in activities and manage behaviour concerns
  • Responsibility for the health, safety, wellbeing and engagement of young people in your group
  • Lead guided reflection
  • Offer support to young people with special educational or access needs
  • Complete key admin taskssuch as registers
  • Follow Safeguarding, incident, information governance, health and safety and risk assessment protocolas outlined by the school
  • Ensure activities are inclusive
  • Positively engage with community partners and manage the relationship
  • To work as part of a team toachieve programme objectives, ensuring highstandards of service are delivered
Please note, these are temporary roles throughout October, November and December in the South East and East Midlands region with an hourly rate of £12.50.
